Complete toilet cistern overhaul resolving slow refilling and intermittent flushing, including new flush syphon and inlet valve installation, plus upgrading a flexible connector hose to a solid copper supply pipe.
The customer contacted MSJ Plumbing regarding a malfunctioning toilet that was suffering from a very slow-filling cistern and unreliable, intermittent flushing. Upon internal inspection, our engineer found that both the internal flush mechanism and the float inlet valve were worn out, while the existing braided flexible feed hose was restricting flow and showing signs of wear.
Safely isolated the cold water feed, drained the remaining water from the tank, disconnected the supply line, and carefully detached the porcelain cistern from the toilet pan to access all internal fittings.
Removed the faulty internal components and installed a brand-new, high-performance flush mechanism alongside a quiet-fill inlet valve to restore rapid, consistent water refilling and reliable flushing.
Removed the old flexible connector hose and fabricated a rigid, solid copper supply pipe to feed the cistern—providing superior durability, optimal water flow, and a neat, permanent finish.
Reinstalled the cistern, restored the water supply, and pressure-tested all joints and seals. Demonstrated multiple flush and refill cycles to the customer, confirming leak-free, smooth operation.
