Complete repair and replacement of a fractured washbasin waste pipe snapped flush at the wall edge, involving careful wall chasing for access, extraction of the broken fitting, and installation of a brand-new waste run to the external outlet.
Our plumbing engineer attended the property to inspect a leaking washbasin drainage line. Upon investigation, we discovered that the waste pipe running from the washbasin through to the outside wall had fractured right at the edge of the masonry, leaving no exposed pipe stub for a standard external coupling.
Carefully chased into the surrounding wall structure around the fractured entry point to expose sound pipework and gain proper working access to the damaged section.
Removed the sheared waste connection and cleared away debris from the wall channel, preparing a clean, unobstructed path for the new pipe run.
Installed a brand-new connection fitting and ran a fresh, durable waste pipe from the washbasin through the wall cavity directly to the outside drainage outlet.
Thoroughly tested the new waste line under continuous water flow to verify fast drainage and 100% watertight seals, completing the job in the presence of the customer.
