Emergency panel removal, non-destructive leak tracing, hot water supply pipe connection renewal, floorboard damage assessment, and complete system testing.
The customer reported signs of active water escaping from underneath the bathtub enclosure. Our engineer attended to carry out urgent diagnostics, trace the origin behind the sealed bath panel, and determine the root mechanical cause of the leak.
Upon removing the bath access panel and inspecting the sub-assembly, the leak was traced directly to the hot water pipe connections feeding the bath tap. Technical inspection verified that this occurred solely due to age-related material fatigue within the connector seal and was entirely free of customer misuse, accidental impact, or installation interference.
Isolated the incoming water supply and drained down the residual hot water line to prevent further saturated run-off into the floor construction.
Gained clear mechanical access under the bathtub rim, disassembled the failed tap fittings, and installed brand-new, WRAS-approved heavy-duty brass connectors and compression seals.
Re-pressurised the domestic water network, executed multi-stage flow checks across hot and cold feeds, and verified zero recurring moisture along all newly fitted joints.
Assessed the damp floorboard beneath the tub caused by the historic water tracking, documenting formal remedial recommendations for structural flooring contractors.
